Traveling Rhino Project

Makulu arrived in our classroom a week before school let out for summer vacation.  He is part of the Save Our Rhinos Project and he came from South Africa to help us learn more about his species. The children are doing research to find out facts about these magnificent animals.  They will each create a digital project showcasing what they learned as we think about how we can help to keep these endangered animals alive and healthy.  Makulu had fun meeting Max’s cardboard Rhino.  He also learned how to weave bracelets and necklaces on a Rainbow Loom – the new fade in our classroom.  We will give him one to take with him on his travels.  Click HERE to see our digital projects about Rhinos.
