Last week we learned about Mardi Gras from Mrs. Lyon’s class. We saw photos about a special cake that they eat to celebrate called a King’s Cake. Inside there is a hidden plastic baby. Whoever gets the baby in their piece of cake has to buy next year’s King’s Cake. Mateo’s mom was nice enough to order 2 for us so we could try it on Fat Tuesday. It was delicious! Elizabeth and Cate got the babies. Thanks so much!!

I am so glad the kids got to try king cake. It looks delicious. They are only made around Mardi Gras down here, so it is a treat for us as well.
i think its cool that you can get plastic baby inside a cake.i wish i get one so that i can show everybody at my school cause theyll think its cool.
